Day 5

There is a game I have been playing recently and it is called FOTONICA.

A first person game about jumping, sense of speed and discovery. The key is timing, the goal is exploring and traveling flawlessly through the environment. The setting is an abstract - mainly duotone - outlined world, with a look referring to the geometrical abstractions from the 50s and the 3D low-poly gaming era.

It is really fun. This game makes you feel like you are going fast. Really fast.

Watch the trailer.

The sounds, the visual effects that make you feel like you are breaking the sound barrier, the levels that feel like they are floating inside the world of TRON. This game is really quite amazing. It is an artwork. You can play this game for free, or pay for it. I paid for it, totally worth it.

FOTANICA is for PC and Mac.

While I am on the topic of video games, if you have a ps3, I can not strongly enough reccomend to you Journey.

It is $20 on the psn store. I want to tell you about it, but I think you should go and play it first. Let it unfold for you. I think this is the future of video games. It was an experience. You know at the end of Inception or Memento when your mind was blown and you just wanted to stay in the movie world? You will have that with Journey. It has such great flow, such unexpectedness, amazing visuals and makes you feel something like no other game has before.
