After getting home from uni at 10:30, and then after having some food, it was nearly midnight by the time I got started on my bike. I had to take off my old disk break and put a new one in its place. It was all completed around 1:30am, so I decided to go out and give it a try.
I was out cycling from just before 2 to around 5am. Let me tell you, Wollongong in the wee hours of the morning is actually really nice. I rode around the foothills of mount Kiera and watched a lightning storm roll far out over the ocean. I sped through the hills of Mangerton where I encountered a not so friendly pooch, he didn't seem to keen on my coming into his street, so I sped away, worried that he was going to nip at my feet. I got a little bit lost in Consiton, and I finished my cycle with a stop off at the light house look out. So it turns out I can indeed change the break pad of my bike and put the whole thing back together. :)
One of the funnier things I saw last night was a man getting out of his car to go to the 24 hour gym. If you have a bicycle, you always have a 24 hour gym, and you don't have to sit in a car to go there!
Bikes are the best.
- Good for the environment
- Don't have to pay for petrol
- Exercise (how bout them glutes!)
- Makes you feel like you are flying
- Listening to music and going down hills is so much fun.
Go and get a bike. Put some fun between your legs ;)
